Speed Hump Proposal
Proposed Layout
- Raised crosswalk (approx. $4500)
- Speed cushion locations that were discussed according to my notes $5000 ea)
- Stop sign placements (as discussed, this would require a warrant study to be conducted once we have a better idea of which intersections we want to focus on)
- Small traffic circle to help break up the flow of the street to encourage more mindful caution and speed (approx. $9000)
- Speed table due to the length and size of the road to help with traffic concerns here (approx. $4500)
The Locations in orange numbers must wait until the bond with Taylor Morrison expires next year.
The county will also prepare a work order to have the stop bars placed at the existing sign locations to help bring attention and alert drivers to proceed with care and stop when appropriate. (Cost to be determined by the number of locations)
Orange County is willing to pay for half, and there are a couple of options for the rest to look at:
- The HOA can contribute based on the funds available.
- We can request the commissioner’s office to see if they can contribute funds. If funds are an issue, these projects can be done in stages.
